Department of Solo and Choral Singing Children Choir
Vilnius Music School "Lyra" was founded in January of 1993 as a supplementary educational opportunity for students of secondary schools (1-7 grades).
Since founding, the school has grown to now include the following departments: Piano, String, Accordian, Folk Instruments, Woodwind/Brass Instruments, Choir and Solo Singing, Pop Music.
The school has eight and twelve year programs which offer students a well-rounded musical education with the possibility of continuing on to a higher level of music study (conservatories). Students completing the course of study are awarded a Certificate of Graduation.
Currently there are approximately 500 students enrolled in day and evening sessions at the school, and more than 70 full and part-time instructors which include professors and associates of the Lithuanian Academy of Music in Vilnius and the Vilnius Conservatory.
